CE Marking process



Here is the general process used to obtain a CE marking for a product:

1. Determine the EU Directive applicable to your product for CE marking.

2. Determine the CE conformity test procedure applicable for CE marking.

3. Determine if there an EU Harmonized Standards that are applicable to your product for CE marking.

4. Make sure your product is in compliance with all EU Directives, standards and other requirements for CE marking. This means having the appropriate technical documentaion, test reports and data sets.

5. Determine if an independent conformity certification is required for CE marking.

6. Prepare the official Declaration of Conformity for CE marking.

7. Place CE marking on your product, packaging and documentation as applicable.
